A Message From the Board of the Canmore Hospital Foundation

On behalf of the Board of the Canmore Hospital Foundation, I would like to update you on some recent changes at the Foundation.

As many of you have heard, our Executive Director, Kristen Pauch-Nolin, is leaving in mid-July to pursue an exciting new career opportunity. During Kristen’s tenure, the Foundation has grown and reached a new level of excellence in supporting health care in the Bow Valley. In the past four years, we funded the purchases of several major pieces of equipment for the hospital, completed the renovation of the emergency department, updated staff rooms and surgical suites, launched the student bursary initiative and implemented professional development programs for health care staff.

Over the next month, Kristen will be putting systems in place to ensure a smooth transfer of her duties. We are extremely grateful for Kristen's hard work and dedication to the Foundation. She will be very much missed, but we wish her the very best as she moves onto the next chapter in her career.

We are launching a job competition this week with the goal of having a new Executive Director in place by the fall. Please see the job description and application information here.

In other news, I am pleased to announce that Michelle Rhode has accepted the newly created role of Manager, Fund Development with the Foundation. Along with a great deal of enthusiasm, Michelle brings a wealth of experience from the non-for-profit sector in the Bow Valley. She will be a tremendous asset for the Foundation. Once she joins us on June 23, Michelle's first priority will be to meet and connect with our many donors and stakeholders.

After Kristen's departure in July, Michelle Rhode will be the main contact for the Foundation's donors and stakeholders. Michelle can be reached at contact@canmorehospitalfoundation.com. Of course, stakeholders, community members, and donors are always welcome to reach out to me, or any member of the Board, at: board@canmorehospitalfoundation.com

As we move forward with the leadership transition, the Foundation remains committed to working with hospital staff, our many dedicated volunteers, and our generous community of donors. Together, we will continue to enhance health care in the Bow Valley and meet the needs of this vibrant and growing community.

Warm regards,

Claire McKinnon
