I didn’t want to just sign up for the first thing that came along. What I wanted was something that would make a difference in the community, but also be something that I believed in.”

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we proudly announce the rebranding of the Canmore & Area healthcare Foundation to the Canmore Hospital Foundation. This change reflects our commitment to supporting our local hospital and the health of our community under our new tagline, "Healthy Together".

The Canmore General Hospital needs to upgrade its endoscopy equipment—a critical investment that will significantly enhance the quality of care our surgeons can provide. Today, we are delighted to announce that the Canmore Hospital Foundation, in collaboration with the Canmore Hospital Ladies’ Auxiliary, has awarded Bow Valley Health Care Scholarships to 13 local residents pursuing education in healthcare fields, with plans to return to the Bow Valley for their careers.

As part of the revitalization of Canmore General Hospital's Emergency Department (ED), 14 original artworks by renowned local artist Jason Carter will be incorporated into the new space.
