A Holiday Ode from the Canmore Hospital Foundation to You
In winter’s quiet, when the valley glows,
And starlight settles on the mountain snows,
We pause with thanks for hearts that never rest,
For those who give our community their best.
To doctors, nurses, caregivers each night,
Who meet the unknown with steady hands and light—
Through long overnight hours, calm and kind,
You carry strength that heals both heart and mind.
To hospital staff, seen and unseen,
Whose care keeps hope alive and systems running clean,
Your skill, patience, and compassion true
Are gifts this season—and the whole year through.
To volunteers who offer time and care,
A listening ear, a presence always there,
And to the Ladies Auxiliary, steadfast and strong,
Your generosity has lifted us for so long.
And to our donors—quiet champions near and far,
You strengthen every act of care, just as you are.
Your belief in local health, your kindness, your trust,
Turn hope into action, and compassion into “we must.”
This season, Bow Valley, we gather in thanks,
For every hand that gives, every role fulfilled.
Because of you, our hospital is more than walls—
It is community, resilience, and goodwill.
May the holidays bring warmth, peace, and cheer,
And may you know how deeply you are valued here.
With gratitude!
